About Us
Hello!
I'm Mansoor, the founder of E\NDLINE Coffee and coffeemaster™ behind all its signature drinks.
You see, who hasn't dreamt of working in a coffee shop or a book store, or a music store, or a game store, or someplace where you could just relax, make money, and have fun? In this day and age, breaking the mould and moving away from a corporate life sounded like pipe dream, but a few layoffs were all the inspiration I needed to finally chase it.
After years spent working as a journalist in the gaming and entertainment industries, and building multiple brands into globally recognized outlets, I wanted to step away from that world and create something for myself. I've always wanted to open a coffeehouse (preferably one with a speakeasy in the back). While I'm not there yet, I'm confident I will be someday. And in the meantime, I wanted to start moving in that direction and have a little fun along the way. That's how E\NDLINE Coffee came to be.
E\NDLINE Coffee is a coffee cart and catering company based in Orange County, with service throughout Southern California. Sometimes we pop up in random places, sometimes we cater events, and sometimes we help pull off amazing brand activations. Whatever we're doing, our goal is to make sure everyone there is well caffeinated with awesome drinks in their hands.
Now, you may be wondering what E\NDLINE actually means and what the deal is with the backslash. Truth is, I'm a bit of a nerd and have always loved computers, so I figured my coffee company should represent that in some form – hence the backslash.
In programming languages, programmers use special character sequences called escape sequences to represent certain characters or control actions. One of the most common is the newline, also known as a line feed or, in my favorite case, an "end-of-line" marker. It's commonly represented as `\n`. However, "end of line" sounded weird for a coffee company, so I shortened it to "end line," then combined the words and incorporated the backslash into the logo.
